Tarragona, Catalunya, January 12th, 2025

A glorious January afternoon in Tarragona after a leisurely train ride from Riba-roja d’Ebre, via Reus, to an overnight stop before the fast train to Barcelona in the morning.

It’s hard to believe that the UK is under a deep freeze when you can sit outside here drinking coffee and eating tapas without heating. A nice stroll along Rambla Nova, a bit of pigeon-feeding and people watching before an Italian later and then the Real Madrid v Barcelona Super Cup match live from Saudi Arabia in a local eatery.
