Barcelona, Catalunya, January 6th-7th, 2025

An early morning train from Barcelona Sants to Riba-roja d’Ebre made that much more stressful because of a six-month tunnel closure, near Sant Vicenç de Calders. The 40-minute bus transfer to Tarragona worked smoothly and it seemed to be an easy passage until the train stopped at a signal at Les Borges del Camp for 45 minutes….

Yesterday, it was the Three Kings Bank Holiday for Epiphany here in Catalunya and not everywhere was open. Thankfully, my little fave Italian and the Lebanese next door in Les Corts were.

The flight was only slightly delayed out of BHX, despite the snow and ice, and I sailed through the usual chaos at El Prat, despite a bus transfer from the steps of the plane and surviving three rounds sparring with a complete numpty’s ruck sack on the crowded shuttle.
