All the times I have been to Turkey for motorsport – as far back as the late Malcolm Neill’s WRC candidate in Bursa in 1999 (when an earthquake destroyed the hotel the week after the rally), I have never had time to see this vast city.
I guess it’s similar to Athens in many ways.
I’ve even overcome the fear of tall suspension bridges over water.
