A day for mad dogs and Englishmen on a deserted Ipanema beach.

More worryingly, is the near impossibility of getting cash from banks such as Santander, Caixa or Bank of Brazil.

They either won’t acknowledge English bank cards or they want biometric data and registration to use them.… the dreaded thing we all spoke about three years ago is upon us.. comply and be part of the system or your bank accounts are turned off or restricted.. thankfully I brought a few greenbacks with me, the yellow cabs take card and found a nice fish restaurant for lunch – 21000 steps in the rain.
